Sorry, but I don’t know what happened to the picture of this one… but here’s the review anyway!
This selection is a Cabernet Sauvignon from Argentina. It’s a 2008 Terrazas de los Andes.
- dark plum color
- spicy aroma (even stronger when aerated)
- soft, smooth finish
- spicy with plum hints
And the experts: “Colour: intense ruby red with purple taints.
Nose: before swilling the wine around the glass notice the strong aroma of jammy red and black fruit, especially cassis mingling with undertones of spice and red pepper. Subtle aromas of vanilla and caramel, accompanied by notes of toasted dried fruit merge to create what can only be described as a deeply aromatic sensation.
Palate: this wine boasts a layered structure and a delicious complexity, both of which combine to create an intensely fulfilling mouth-feel. Its velvety and syrupy characteristics portray a soft and approachable wine. On the palette, black fruit and cassis path the way for a lengthy and distinguished finish.” —- courtesy of our friends at Arlington Wine and Liquor (NY).
