We’ve dined here for dinner before but don’t hit up the pub very often since it’s on the opposite side of town from us. That said, we had lunch here on Monday and had a very enjoyable experience. We were there early and there were very few tables, so our service was quite quick and very adequate. No beers since it was only 11 a.m., but I’m determined to try one of the half-Guinness/half-otheririshbeers at a later date! The husband ordered the Guinness beef stew and it was delicious! I was able to steal one bite and will definitely order that the next time we’re there. It was just as good as some of the ones we tried in Ireland. Only complaint, it was served with a piece of French baguette as opposed to Irish soda break… tsk tsk. I ordered the shepherd’s pie and couldn’t complain. It was saucy with just the right amount of all the ingredients. It is beef as opposed to lamb, but either way, quite good. The meal was a great break on a cold, blustery day. It certainly warmed us right up. Unfortunately since we were headed to the movies right after the meal (popcorn!) that meant no dessert. But I am most definitely trying the deep-fried milky way bar the next time we go!
