Sorry, no pics or tasting notes this week– just a couple of good recs from our trip to Charleston.
1. Reserve du Chateau Croix Mouton Bordeaux. 2005. It’s not the cheapest bottle of wine you can get, but it’s worth it. Delicious and a great accompaniment to my grilled peach salad, beef tenderloin with crabcake, and banana cream pie.
2. Victory Vineyards Zinfandel. A Napa Valley wine with a sharp flavor profile and a great body. This one went well with the grilled NY strip with green peppercorn sauce and the flourless chocolate torte.
