quick and easy stir-fried green beans

Quick and dirty today! This is a super simple preparation of fresh green beans that I often love to do as an easy side dish to whatever meal I’m having.  I love these so much that I often throw them in with other totally “non-asian” flavored main dishes, just because. 🙂

To begin, you’ll need:

  • 1 to 1 and 1/2 lbs fresh green beans, cleaned, with ends snapped off
  • about a T of olive oil
  • about 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 2 – 4 T. soy sauce (depending on your taste)

All you have to do is warm up your wok over medium-high heat.  Add in the oil, followed shortly by the garlic.  Let the garlic get aromatic and then toss in the green beans.  Stir until crisp-tender about 3 minutes.  Then add in the soy sauce and cook for another 3-5 minutes.  And done! You can always play around with the flavors and it’s easy to add in some extras like slivered almonds, but this is a good basic recipe for a little Asian flair with your meal.
