semi-homemade apple steusel muffins

Here’s a great way to spice up a muffin mix that will leave everyone craving more! Sorry, I don’t have a good pic of these, but they look like regular muffins, ha. They taste great and are really moist!

what you’ll need:

  • 1 (12 oz.) package of apple cinnamon muffin mix (plus what may be called for to add to the mix)
  • 2 granny smith apples, peeled and diced
  • 3 T. brown sugar
  • 4 and 1/2 t. flour
  • 1 T. melted butter

Perpare the muffin mix as directed on the package.  After mixing all ingredients, stir in the apple. Either line a muffin tin with muffin cups or grease well with a non-stick cooking spray. Fill cups about 3/4 full. In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients and sprinkle the brown sugar mixture over the muffins. Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Cool the muffins for about 5 minutes before removing from pan.

-recipe will make about 16 muffins
